Our Management Team

Malcolm L. Nunn, Jr.

President/CEO

Beginning his career in the roofing industry in 1985, Malcolm rose rapidly from field superintendent to project manager and within two years, was promoted to general manager. In 1993, he founded Roof Systems of VA, Inc. His leadership and personal integrity have helped make Roof Systems of VA one of the nation’s top roofing contractors. He attended East Carolina University, North Carolina State University and Old Dominion University.

Joseph W. Blanks, Jr.

Executive Vice President

Joey directs our Pre-Construction services and implements our Total Quality Management Program. He has extensive computer and technological expertise, making him an integral part of the Roof Systems team since 1994. He is a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute with a B.S. in Management Science and an emphasis in computer-based design support systems.

Shawn Nunn

Vice President of Operations

Shawn started his career in the roofing industry in 2001, starting as a laborer and working his way up to Vice President of Operations.  Shawn manages all of our projects from the start of construction until final completion, supervising over 100 employees.  He is a vital asset at Roof Systems of VA, Inc.

Charles “Randy” Fralin

Vice President of Sales

Responsible for account development, Randy focuses on the Roof Asset Management program. Prior to joining Roof Systems of Virginia in 2006 as a Commercial Sales Representative, he had been in the roofing industry for 25 years. Sixteen of those years, he worked as a Johns Manville territory manager. He graduated from Elon College, Class of 1981.

Al Gore

Safety Manager

Al is a licensed Asbestos Abatement Supervisor and is OSHA 30-Hour certified.  He joined Roof Systems in 2002 and has worked his way up from running our service department to managing our Norfolk Branch.   Al has over 30 years experience in the roofing industry. He graduated from Hampden-Sydney College in 1989 with a degree in Managerial Economics.
